The Book of Nazhom Aqidatul Awam (عقيدة العوام) is a book containing the poems (nadham) of Tauhid, the book is authored by Shaykh as-Sayyid al-Marzuqiy. His full name is Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Sayyid Ramadhan al-Marzuqiy al-Hasaniy wal Husainiy al-Malikiy, al-Mishriy al-Makkiy ,, was born around 1205 AH in Egypt. During his time he was teaching at the Mecca Mosque. Due to his intelligence and intelligence, he was later appointed to the Mufti of the Maliki School in Mecca replacing Sayyid Muhammad who died around 1261 AH Sheikh Ahmad al-Marzuqiy was also known as a Poet and was nicknamed Abu Alfauzi.
One of his teachers was asy-Shaykh al-Kabir as-Sayyid Ibrahim al-'Ubaidiy, he was a clergy oriented in Qira'ah al-Asyrah (Qira'ah 10).
And among his students was Shaykh Ahmad Damhan (1260 - 1345 H), Shaykh as-Sayyid Ahmad Zaini Dahlan (1232 - 1304 H), Shaykh Thahir at-Takruniy and so forth.
One of his books is the book of Aqidatul Awam. He authored this book, beginning when he dreamed to meet the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam and his Companions at the end of the first Friday night in Rajab.
